Almighty God, You are our refuge and our strength — a very present help in times of trouble. Today we lift up President Donald J. Trump as the man You have placed in charge of this nation's response when disaster strikes. Hurricanes, wildfires, floods, tornadoes — when catastrophe hits, it is President Trump who must act, and act fast. We pray that You would equip him fully for that responsibility.
Father, we ask You to give President Trump a heart that is moved with genuine compassion every time an American community is devastated by disaster. May he never see these moments as political problems to manage, but as human crises that demand his full attention and his best leadership. Give him the urgency to cut through bureaucracy, to mobilize FEMA with speed and efficiency, and to ensure that no American is left waiting for help because of red tape or politics.
Lord, we pray specifically that President Trump would have the wisdom to declare federal disasters quickly and generously, so that resources reach the people who need them without delay. Give him the relationships with governors and local leaders — across party lines — that make coordinated disaster response possible. May his administration be known for responding to crisis with speed, competence, and genuine care.
We also pray for President Trump's personal strength during these moments. Visiting disaster zones, comforting grieving families, making impossible resource decisions — these take a toll. Lord, sustain him. Give him the emotional resilience and the physical energy to lead through crisis after crisis without losing his compassion or his focus.
We bless President Donald J. Trump today, Lord. May his emergency leadership bring hope, healing, and restoration to every American community that faces disaster. In Jesus' name, Amen.
